Our Mission
The mission of Robotic Surgery on Air is to connect robotic surgeons worldwide, creating a unique platform for continuous learning, safe technology adoption, and advanced training in robotic surgery. Our goal is to contribute to the ongoing improvement of surgical practices and enhance patient care on a global scale.
Our Scientific Director
Professor Jim Khan MSc, PhD, FRCS (Glasg), FCPS, FRCS (Gen Surg), FASCRS Professor of Surgery, University of Portsmouth; Consultant Surgeon Portsmouth Hospitals University; NHS Trust Program Director Robotic Colorectal Surgery Fellowship.
Professor Khan is a Consultant Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and at the University of Portsmouth. His training included senior registrar at Basingstoke with Prof. Heald, the National Laparoscopic Fellowship at Colchester (UK) with Prof. Motson and a travelling clinical fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester (US). He also travelled to Korea for training in Robotic colorectal surgery with Prof. Kim.
