Abstracts
Papers that have been short-listed will be presented in the Free Paper (abstracts) Sessions on Friday 26 November at 09:10 - 10.00 and at 13:30 - 14.20.
Papers should be a total of 7 minutes duration with 3 minutes for discussion afterwards. The winner of the best oral abstract will be presented with the 2010 David Dunn Medal and a cheque for £600 generously sponsored by the British Journal of Surgery (BJS). The announcement of the ‘2010 David Dunn Prize’ winner will be made during the ALS Awards Ceremony at 15:30 on Friday 26 November. All Free Papers (abstracts) selected will be published in the Surgical Endoscopy Journal.
Those selected for oral presentation will automatically have their papers published in the Surgical Endoscopy Journal.
Poster Exhibition & Prize
The Poster Exhibition will take place in the Atrium from 08:30 on Thursday 25 November until 15:45 on Friday 26 November 2010. The maximum area available for each poster will be 1m wide x 2m long (portrait style). Posters must be attached securely to the display boards with Velcro, which will be provided. Pins, nails or other methods of adhesion must not be used.
All All posters will be judged on Thursday (between 12:00-14:00), when the presenting authors MUST be in attendance by their posters. The winner of the best poster will be presented with a cheque for £150 sponsored by B.Braun. The announcement of the ‘2010 ALS Best Laparoscopic Poster Prize’ winner will be made during the ALS Awards Ceremony at 15:30 on Friday 26 November.

DVD Submission Guidelines & Prize
DVDVDs should be a total of 5 minutes duration with 3 minutes for discussion afterwards. Only ‘in-house’ productions will be accepted and 'voiceover' is compulsory. Please ensure you bring a copy of the DVD with you. DVDs that have been short-listed for this prize will be presented in the DVD Session on Friday 26 November at 14:20-15:30. The winner of the best DVD will be presented with a cheque for £250 sponsored by B.Braun. The announcement of the ‘2010 ALS Best Laparoscopic DVD Prize’ winner will be made during the ALS Awards Ceremony at 15:30 on Friday 26 November.

This year the ALSGBI are once again working with Scienceposters, a professional poster design and/or print company to provide an optional poster service. Discounts are available if files are sent to them by the 11th November and a free delivery service to the meeting at Nottingham is also available.
