The ALSGBI Laparoscopic Surgery Training Day offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated full day of hands-on practical training from top class ALSGBI and Imperial Faculty. There will be anatomicallybased training for dissection and tissue plane development in porcine models. Participants will have an opportunity to develop techniques for laparoscopic suturing and stapling in both a simulated and natural tissue environment. In keeping with the overall theme of the meeting there will be an opportunity to practise haemostatic techniques. This course is designed for trainee upper, lower and general gastrointestinal surgeons from CT2 to ST8 levels of surgical training.
